WEDDING BELLES (1934) Lloyd Hamilton

Postby Richard M Roberts » Wed Apr 20, 2022 4:07 pm

Here's a hard-to-see Lloyd Hamilton comedy apparently made in 1934 as a potential series, produced and "released" by the cavalcade film Co, directed by Sam Neufield and featuring Lloyd Hamilton with Arthur Housman, Gertrude Astor and Eddie Gribbon:

BTW, the claim made in the long opening historical titles about MOMA not having a complete print of WEDDING BELLES is incorrect. I have a letter from Eileen Bowser from the 1980's describing the print she had viewed as this Hamilton short, complete with original title credits.

And Ham even pulls out the tried-and-true fish/mouse/squirrel/frog in the pants bit.
