Re: ARE YOU THERE? (1930) clip with Bea Lillie and Lloyd Ham
I've been paging through Anthony Balducci's book on Hamilton via Google Books trying to remember what size of role Hamilton played in this film. Google Books like to show a page or so of the section one is interested in and then cuts you off (It's almost as if they expect me to buy it....). I do recall Richard Barrio's book on early talkie musicals spent a chapter on this film but I haven't re-read that in some time.
So was Ham brought aboard as comedy relief for this feature or was it more of a walk-on role?
Also, I realize that Balducci's book has been out for some time but any comments here on his research?
