It's very important to keep The Duke in the public eye at least every decade....otherwise my childhood will start to seem pointless.
Now to find out why no one is talking about John Payne lately?

Well, if it's a help, we saw John Payne on an episode of WHATS MY LINE this weekend.
Scott told me the pre-sale on the Wayne book is more than the total sales of his last four books. It's going to be a blockbuster, and I'm sure it will be the quintessential John Wayne Bio, which means it will be balanced and probably piss off conservatives and liberals alike. We say pick it up ASAP.

Can't wait to see what he has to say about "The Big Trail".

It got a two page review in the New York Times this past weekend (by Peter Bogdanovich):

Wow, Bogdanovich only managed to talk about himself three or four times while reviewing the book, he may be getting humble in his old age.
This is actually the SECOND good review Scott's Wayne Book has gotten in the NYT.
