Joyland is worth the price of the set alone. An anticipated screening at a long-ago Cinefest had to be scrubbed because the 16mm print was too shrunken. It will simultaneously delight you and haunt your nightmares. But mostly astonish you. I’d love to know what show or vaude act the sets came from.
