Anthony Susnick has done a nice video about Kalton C. Lahue featuring Sam Gill and Lahue's ex-wife and son:

I have been reading Mr. Lahue's books for over 40 years and this is the first time I have seen his face. I copied in their entirety three of Lahue's books on public library Xerox machines at a dime a page. In the early 1990's my local library had computer access to all books available by inter-library loan in the US. One day I typed in Lahue's name and over 30 titles turned up and I was ecstatic! Great disappointment ensued when I saw nearly all titles were car related.

This documentary really took me back. Thumbs up.

What Tommie said - wonderful documentary.
Christmas 1966 I received a copy of KOPS AND CUSTARDS and became a fan of Mr. Lahue's silent film books ever since.

I'm fortunate enough to have gotten some of his film books as Christmas presents, or picked them up in the Remainder bin at Walden Books in the past. My local public library had several others, and of course I devoured those as well.
