This excerpt is an extra on the VCI/Kit Parker Films DVDS of WHITE GORILLA and is pretty much what was left in the Weiss Vaults on the serial apart from the WHITE GORILLA camera neg, the Weiss's unfortunately cut up the camera neg on PERILS to make up WHITE GORILLA, which is about half footage from the silent serial.
WHITE GORILLA is a hoot and an amazing example of making up a film out of stock footage and a few days shooting of new footage, definitely into Ed Wood territory. What is equally amazing is how damn much money WHITE GORILLA made for the Weiss's and those involved with it, it cost next to nothing to make and they essentially four-walled it across the Country and cleaned up! Director Harry Fraser owned a chunk of it and was able to retire rather comfortably on it.
