The Norman Studios Silent Film Museum in Jacksonville, Florida, still in stages of construction, was once the site of Eagle Films and Tweedledum comedies starring Marcel Perez. There have been some recent activities with the museum including an open house and the beginnings of a documentary on Jacksonville silent film history highlighted on a TV news segment. Hey There Lisa,

This is all great news, and we wish them well, but will somebody please tell them to stop this "only surviving silent movie studio" crap? We were making fun of this on Nitrateville last week. Any number of silent movie studios are still standing and still working as studios. It just makes them sound like they don't know what they're talking about to anyone who knows anything.
