The database of films screened at the Pordenone Silent Film festival, a work in progress, is now online at http://www.cinetecadelfriuli.org/gcm/screenings_db.html. Should be a great resource for research, silent comey and beyond!
Speaking of silent comedy at the Giornate, for this year's edition the festival's websiteat http://www.cinetecadelfriuli.org/gcm/ promises among other treats,
"- From FRANCE, 'Comedy and Burlesque, 1910-1915', illustrating a period of great comedians, notably Max Linder and Charles Prince ('Rigadin') who were to have an important influence on the beginnings of the classic period of Hollywood comedy,
- From USA, the comedy shorts of Leo McCarey."
