Interesting and Sad History of the Silent Movie theater

Postby Richard M Roberts » Thu Jul 25, 2024 1:52 am

A reasonably thorough history of John and Dorothy Hampton and the Silent Movie Theater, and it's unfortunate history in the odd assortment who kept on reopening the place.

The Silent Movie Theater was nothing but an uncomfortable place to watch John Hampton's amazing collection, it should have died with him, when the Hamptons and the collection was gone, the theater was meaningless, and it has housed too much bad karma ever since.

I think it says too much about our current society that the place is now re-labeled "Brain-Dead Studios" and they show movies that would make John Hampton roll in his grave if he knew they showed them there.
