Nitrateville Answer Dept: Chaplin/First Nationals Reissue question

So Steve Massa goes and asks Nitwitvile a question about the Pathe' reissues of the Chaplin First Nationals, like he's going to get a decent answer:

So here it is, yeah, Pathe only had the four Chaplin First Nationals to reissue, they reissued A DOG'S LIFE in 25, SHOULDER ARMS and SUNNYSIDE in 26, and they didn't put out A DAY'S PLEASURE until 1929 as Pathe was merging into RKO-Radio. It appears that those were the only ones Chaplin had reverted rights to at the time the deal was struck, and by the time he got the other FN's, Pathe was going into the toilet and not interested in picking up the others.

I have a Pathe' print of SUNNYSIDE.
