Does anyone have any info regarding this Glen Photo release? Was this something they created since I know the titles are not original...The title just states The Last Serial (1927) then goes on to include mock Episode titles every couple of minutes. There is no cast involved but I recognize Al.

The Last Serial is Curses! , a 1925 Educational comedy credited to Grover Jones but widely accepted to have been directed by Roscoe Arbuckle. Glenn Photo didn't know what they had and created the title and the "Mack Sennett Comedy" ID out of whole cloth. I rate it as one of Educational's loopiest (and funniest) comedies of the silent era. Based on Jones' Bulls Eye comedies, he had a pretty loopy sense of humor himself and I suspect it was a collaboration.

In addition to Al, the leading lady is Bartine Burkett, her old father is Walter C. Reed, and Al's moustachioed second-in-command is Johnny Sinclair.

This short was reconstructed for THE FORGOTTEN FILMS OF ROSCOE "FATTY" ARBUCKLE set.
Newspaper reviews, trade ads, the original studio pressbook, and various other materials were
utilized to return the surviving material to its original form.

If I recall correctly, the press materials did not credit anyone other than Al St. John, which is unusual for Educational; their press materials are most often a treasure trove for credit hunters. Are there any other performers of note in the film?
