Three Stooges shorts on bluray in July
The Three Stooges shorts are being released by Sony on Bluray in July. However half the shorts are being omitted for not being politically correct.

I don't think they eliminated the Joe Bessers and the later Shemp stock-footage for political correctness, but with the missing Curly titles, it does seem to be the case.
Ah well, between prints and the DVD set, I'm covered on the Stooges, I wasn't planning to buy the Blu-Ray in any case.

Casual Stooge fans won't pay $150-$175 for this set. And serious Stooge fans won't buy anything that's incomplete. So who is the market for this?

I thought the DVD sets looked perfectly fine. No need to upgrade here!

All valid points. At some stage, you just have to say the version you have right now is good enough, and an upgrade, especially one that's not comparable, isn't worth the extra outlay. My son has all the individual DVD box sets, and the bonus collection, and we're quite happy with them.

If these are the same transfers, with no additional processing, as the DVD's, except in 1080 I'd purchase it in a second however it must be all the Curly and Shemp shorts or no dice. Thus a no-go for me.
I agree with Rob Farr; not clear on whom the target audience for this set is actually...
