One of the perhaps silver linings when a famous person passes is it tends to coax out some of their work from oblivion. Case in point with Max Morath, who passed away last year and his passing brought to light his early NET show THE RAGTIME ERA (1962).
Now here's LIVING A RAGTIME LIFE, a filming of Morath's live show which he toured in various variations for years, recorded at the Denver Performing Arts Center in 1992. I saw him perform many times over the years, this is really how I remember him:

William, I think you meant, "Good Show Max", I merely put it up on the mafia.
And I'm proud to say I have a copy of that Hirschfeld drawing autographed by Max up on one of my walls. I'm sure that was drawn when Max was doing his Broadway show in the early 70's, but of course it became his trademark after that.
