Italy was still in the post-war doldrums in 1951 and I assume that broadcast televsion wasn't yet widely available. So these Ridonlini shorts were edited for theatrical exhibition, not TV. I wonder if this compilation has any footage of "lost" Semon films that only survived in Italian collections.
